00:00:02.283 --> 00:00:08.095
Prayer is a fundamental part of being a Christian, but its impact goes far beyond the rituals and routines.
00:00:08.095 --> 00:00:14.800
It's a profound way to connect with the divine, seek guidance, find comfort and express gratitude.
00:00:14.800 --> 00:00:25.106
Whether you're facing a challenging situation, seeking peace or simply looking to deepen your relationship with God, prayer is a powerful tool.
00:00:25.106 --> 00:00:27.405
Let's talk all about it.
00:00:27.405 --> 00:00:29.245
Let's go, boys.
00:00:29.245 --> 00:00:42.426
Hey, welcome to Renewed Mindsets, where we study the basics of the faith through the lens of our middle-aged experiences.
00:00:42.426 --> 00:00:43.450
I'm Rick.
00:00:43.450 --> 00:00:54.889
Welcome to the show where I help you, gen Xers and Millennials, navigate spiritually through a world that looks nothing like we expected back, when cars were square and mullets were totally awesome.
00:00:54.889 --> 00:00:56.993
I am so glad you're here.
00:00:56.993 --> 00:01:02.904
What is the power of prayer?
00:01:02.904 --> 00:01:06.412
I mean, how can prayer bring a person back to life?
00:01:06.412 --> 00:01:08.346
How can it heal the sick?
00:01:08.346 --> 00:01:13.992
How does prayer comfort those who are anxious or sinking into the depth of depression?
00:01:13.992 --> 00:01:23.274
Why do Christians pray for their future spouses, or pray prayers of protection over their children as they send them off to school?
00:01:23.274 --> 00:01:29.891
How can prayer impact those who don't know Jesus, or help in a time of crisis like a pandemic?
00:01:29.891 --> 00:01:37.493
The answer is found in one scripture Matthew 18, 18 through 20.
00:01:37.493 --> 00:01:46.269
Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
00:01:46.269 --> 00:01:59.686
Again, I say to you if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven, for where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them.
00:01:59.686 --> 00:02:06.750
Now there's dozens of real-life accounts in the Bible where Jesus and other disciples battled in prayer.
00:02:06.750 --> 00:02:13.592
God shut the heavens up and prevented rain from falling for three years because Elijah prayed about it.
00:02:13.592 --> 00:02:19.693
He parted the Red Sea for Moses to lead his people through because Moses prayed about it.
00:02:19.693 --> 00:02:21.825
He cast out demons.
00:02:21.825 --> 00:02:28.159
Jesus healed the sick and gave sight to the blind, and on and on, and on, and.
00:02:28.159 --> 00:02:32.292
On more than one occasion Jesus raised people from the dead, like Lazarus.
00:02:32.292 --> 00:02:39.353
Now, do we realize that the power that we have available to us when we take our authority in prayer?
00:02:39.353 --> 00:02:45.372
If we did, we would be praying in Jesus' name all day long.
00:02:45.372 --> 00:02:59.986
I'm telling you, there'd be no such thing as doubt or fear or anxiety, because we'd be on our faces before God, storming the realms of heaven, in battle with darkness and evil forces in our world, talking to God.
00:03:01.741 --> 00:03:04.090
So what exactly is the power of prayer.
00:03:04.090 --> 00:03:08.389
The power of prayer isn't the words that you say.
00:03:08.389 --> 00:03:14.353
It's not about what you pray or even how you pray.
00:03:14.353 --> 00:03:22.372
Prayer can be defined as talking to God, but it's much more than that.
00:03:22.372 --> 00:03:28.733
Prayer is an act of worship that glorifies God and it reinforces our need for Him.
00:03:28.733 --> 00:03:37.914
And through living a life of prayer we communicate with the very source of, and the purpose for our existence.
00:03:37.914 --> 00:03:47.215
It's the fiercest weapon against the enemy that we have and against everything else in this fallen world.
00:03:47.215 --> 00:03:53.651
Prayer is the portal that brings the power of heaven down to earth.
00:03:53.651 --> 00:04:00.152
It's like kryptonite to our enemy and all of the evil ploys that he has against us.
00:04:02.139 --> 00:04:04.182
Prayers are prophecies.
00:04:04.182 --> 00:04:08.169
They predict our spiritual future.
00:04:08.169 --> 00:04:27.192
Who you are and who you become is determined by how you pray, and if you had a transcript of all your prayers that you could read at the end of your life, it would become the script of your life.
00:04:27.192 --> 00:04:45.192
Who you are or who you become, the circumstances in your life, the core of your character, they're all determined by what you talk to God about.
00:04:47.240 --> 00:04:55.235
According to the Bible, the power of prayer is very simply the power of God, who hears and answers prayer.
00:04:55.235 --> 00:04:59.348
God is all-powerful.
00:04:59.348 --> 00:05:05.471
The Lord, god Almighty, can do all things and there's nothing that's impossible for Him.
00:05:05.471 --> 00:05:09.209
That's from Luke 1, verse 37.
00:05:09.209 --> 00:05:20.752
The character and heart of God is the very fabric of the gospel, and when we close our eyes and get on our knees, the Spirit of God whispers to us.
00:05:20.752 --> 00:05:24.432
I am the Lord, the God of all mankind.
00:05:24.432 --> 00:05:26.588
Is there anything too hard for me?
00:05:26.588 --> 00:05:32.692
It's as if to say to our hearts no need is too great or too small.
00:05:34.399 --> 00:05:36.507
The God wants us to pray to him.
00:05:36.507 --> 00:05:42.531
He invites us and encourages us and wants us to talk to him.
00:05:42.531 --> 00:05:47.252
We're supposed to come to him in faith James 1.5.
00:05:47.252 --> 00:05:50.327
And we come to him with persistence.
00:05:50.327 --> 00:05:52.685
That's from Luke 18.1.
00:05:52.685 --> 00:05:58.011
And we come to him with thanksgiving Philippians 4.6.
00:05:58.011 --> 00:06:06.387
We come to him within his will Matthew 6.10, and from a heart that is right with God James 5.16.
00:06:08.170 --> 00:06:27.139
And if you look at it, in Luke 18, verse 1, we read and Hebrews, chapter 4, 14 through 16, talks about Jesus as our high priest and says that he can sympathize with us.
00:06:27.139 --> 00:06:38.384
Hebrews 4, 16 says let us then, with confidence, draw near to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
00:06:38.384 --> 00:06:46.956
We have been given access to the very throne of God through prayer, and the Lord, god Almighty, answers prayer.
00:06:46.956 --> 00:06:51.168
I'll call on you, o God, for you will answer me.
00:06:51.168 --> 00:06:57.372
Psalm 17.6, the righteous cry out and the Lord hears them.
00:06:57.372 --> 00:07:00.127
He delivers them from all their troubles.
00:07:00.127 --> 00:07:02.642
That's Psalm 34, 17.
00:07:04.144 --> 00:07:10.274
And in John 16, 23-24, jesus makes a stunning, sweeping, glorious promise to us.
00:07:10.274 --> 00:07:16.632
Truly, truly, I say to you whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give unto you.
00:07:16.632 --> 00:07:20.088
Until now, you have asked nothing in my name.
00:07:20.088 --> 00:07:24.884
Ask and you will receive that your joy may be full.
00:07:24.884 --> 00:07:31.353
In other words, when we ask God to give us a love for our neighbors, he does.
00:07:31.353 --> 00:07:44.084
When we ask for patience, he begins to tend to our hearts, uprooting areas of impatience, and then provides opportunities to practice patience.
00:07:44.084 --> 00:07:48.394
I don't recommend you ask for that one, but he'll answer it, I promise.
00:07:48.394 --> 00:07:59.733
And when we ask him to be near us, his presence sweeps in and surrounds us like a cozy, blanketed embrace and it's filled with peace and strength.
00:08:01.740 --> 00:08:15.833
And even when we lack faith or have very little faith, sometimes learning to trust God with our prayers is like being a toddler we wobble around and fall, but he doesn't chastise us.
00:08:15.833 --> 00:08:19.687
He encourages us to get back up and try again.
00:08:19.687 --> 00:08:22.072
And with his hands held out.
00:08:22.072 --> 00:08:27.232
He looks at us and he says because of your little faith, he told them.
00:08:27.232 --> 00:08:36.774
For I assure you, if you have the faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain move from here to there and it will move.
00:08:36.774 --> 00:08:38.986
Nothing will be impossible for you.
00:08:38.986 --> 00:08:41.326
Matthew 17, 20.
00:08:43.880 --> 00:08:47.171
So how do you tap in to the power of prayer?
00:08:47.171 --> 00:08:52.730
The power of prayer isn't in the person praying it.
00:08:52.730 --> 00:08:54.927
It's not a magic formula.
00:08:54.927 --> 00:08:57.847
There's no keywords like a website.
00:08:57.847 --> 00:09:07.394
It's an open heart, humble and filled with awe of who our mighty God is.
00:09:07.394 --> 00:09:14.533
Rather, the power resides in the God who's being prayed to.
00:09:14.533 --> 00:09:27.551
1 John 5, 14-15 tells us this is the confidence we have in approaching God that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
00:09:27.551 --> 00:09:34.666
And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we'll have what we asked of him.
00:09:36.652 --> 00:09:46.327
Yeah, in fact, jesus rebukes those who pray using repetitions or those who pray in public to seek attention or those who don't have the right heart.
00:09:46.327 --> 00:09:58.311
And when you pray, do not keep babbling like the pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words, and don't be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
00:09:58.311 --> 00:10:00.147
That's Matthew 6, 7, and 8.
00:10:00.147 --> 00:10:05.650
Psalm 107, verses 28 through 30, reminds us.
00:10:05.650 --> 00:10:10.711
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble and he brought them out of their distress.
00:10:10.711 --> 00:10:16.067
He stilled the storm to a whisper, the waves of the sea were hushed.
00:10:16.067 --> 00:10:20.650
They were glad when it grew calm and he guided them to their desired haven.
00:10:22.100 --> 00:10:24.590
There is power in prayer.
00:10:24.590 --> 00:10:36.484
And now Deep Thoughts from Rick Juhasz.
00:10:36.484 --> 00:10:44.357
I think I'll pray for some very large shrimp, like extremely large.
00:10:44.357 --> 00:10:52.000
That way I could ride one, then after a camp out, I could eat it.
00:10:52.000 --> 00:10:54.315
How about it, god?
00:10:54.315 --> 00:11:03.673
So many of us are familiar with prayer, most of us really.
00:11:03.673 --> 00:11:08.379
Let's just say but do we really understand the power of prayer?
00:11:08.379 --> 00:11:16.124
Now, they may only be words, but our words become powerful when they connect with God through prayer.
00:11:16.124 --> 00:11:19.158
There's power through our prayer.
00:11:20.990 --> 00:11:24.958
Now, I never thought much of prayer and I always excused myself out of thinking.
00:11:24.958 --> 00:11:32.741
I didn't have the gift of prayer warrior in me, because I could never find the right words to make my prayers sound big and grand.
00:11:32.741 --> 00:11:36.552
So I told myself that prayer just wasn't my thing.
00:11:36.552 --> 00:11:44.577
I'd pray here and there, but I never really invested my heart in it, whether it was praying for myself or others.
00:11:44.577 --> 00:11:48.913
They would just be a quick few words that I could move on in my day.
00:11:48.913 --> 00:12:08.669
And then I came to the church that I go to, where prayer is so important that we set aside one day during the week for us all to meet to do nothing but pray corporate prayer as a church and it's so powerful.
00:12:08.669 --> 00:12:13.629
And I realized over the past nine months that God wanted me to work on my prayer.
00:12:13.629 --> 00:12:16.630
He wanted me to pray more Now.
00:12:16.630 --> 00:12:22.120
I didn't think God had called me to become a prayer warrior, but he showed me that everyone is called to pray.
00:12:22.120 --> 00:12:34.240
I started creating little prayer cards with Bible verses on them for me to proclaim over myself and this podcast and for those people that God put on my heart to pray for.
00:12:35.530 --> 00:12:43.941
Now, ever since I've been praying more, I've seen God work more and more through my life, especially with Renewed Mindsets.
00:12:43.941 --> 00:12:51.243
I've received messages from people all over the world how Renewed Mindsets has touched their life.
00:12:51.243 --> 00:12:54.158
I credit all of this to God.
00:12:54.158 --> 00:13:01.878
Through prayer, god's anointing and the power have become stronger in me and more evident in my life.
00:13:01.878 --> 00:13:17.975
You might just see prayer as simple words, but our prayers draw the power of God into our lives and into our ministries, and our prayers opened doors for God to do what we would consider to be the impossible.
00:13:20.080 --> 00:13:24.577
A good example of that is the life of Elijah, the prophet Elijah from the Bible.
00:13:24.577 --> 00:13:34.163
Elisha was a man of prayer and a powerful prophet that was used by God, and Elisha would always pray to God before any miracle happened through God.
00:13:34.163 --> 00:13:42.903
2 Kings 6, verses 17 and 18 says and Elisha prayed Open his eyes, lord, that he may see.
00:13:42.903 --> 00:13:50.394
Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
00:13:50.394 --> 00:13:54.581
Elisha prayed to the Lord strike this army with blindness.
00:13:54.581 --> 00:13:58.375
So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.
00:13:58.375 --> 00:14:03.390
Now God's power was displayed through Elisha because of his prayers.
00:14:04.452 --> 00:14:11.474
Just as God used Elisha to bring miraculous powers, god also wants to use our prayers to shine his light and glory.
00:14:11.474 --> 00:14:19.015
God has plans to use our prayers to bring his power and restoration and miracles into the world.
00:14:19.015 --> 00:14:24.284
God's power becomes evident in our lives through prayer.
00:14:24.284 --> 00:14:28.458
We just have to make prayer a priority.
00:14:28.458 --> 00:14:33.755
We're called to pray regardless if we consider ourselves a prayer warrior or not.
00:14:37.070 --> 00:14:43.798
1 Thessalonians 5.17 says Pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Jesus Christ.
00:14:43.798 --> 00:14:48.341
Prayer is not a requirement for some, but it's for everybody.
00:14:48.341 --> 00:14:55.022
God calls you to pray because it's only through prayer that he can do wonders with your life.
00:14:55.022 --> 00:15:03.543
When you live a life following God's way and his righteousness, your prayers become powerful and effective.
00:15:03.543 --> 00:15:06.297
That's James 5.16.
00:15:06.297 --> 00:15:10.799
When was the last time you invested your heart in prayer?
00:15:10.799 --> 00:15:15.360
Have you realized the power your words have through prayer?
00:15:15.360 --> 00:15:23.212
God wants to show you more of himself in your life, but he asks you to seek him with all your heart through prayer.
00:15:23.212 --> 00:15:28.889
God promises to those who seek him with all their heart that they will find him.
00:15:28.889 --> 00:15:36.224
Remember, when you pray, you're calling on a mighty God to move on your life.
00:15:36.224 --> 00:15:42.842
Pray with faith and boldness, trusting that God can do the impossible.
00:15:42.842 --> 00:15:48.480
Remember there is power through prayer.
00:15:48.480 --> 00:15:56.842
Lord God, I thank you that I can call on you to do wonders in my life through prayer, amen.
00:16:02.610 --> 00:16:13.243
Hey, you don't know how much I appreciate you listening to this podcast and if you're listening and you're regular do you know that I have a second podcast?
00:16:13.243 --> 00:16:15.671
It's called Wisdom for the Day?
00:16:15.671 --> 00:16:20.400
You can find it at wisdomforthedayorg or right here.
00:16:20.400 --> 00:16:25.015
Wherever you're listening to this podcast, just do a search for Wisdom for the Day.
00:16:25.015 --> 00:16:30.130
It's basically a daily podcast from the book of Proverbs.
00:16:30.130 --> 00:16:35.984
I read about two verses a day and do a deep dive on those two verses.
00:16:35.984 --> 00:16:45.397
Now, when you say deep dive on two verses, it's only going to be about five or six minutes, so you don't have to devote your whole life to another podcast.
00:16:45.397 --> 00:16:56.033
As much as I appreciate you listening to this one, I really want you to listen to the next one and I don't want to take up all your time, so give me five minutes.
00:16:56.033 --> 00:16:58.399
You can listen to that while you're shaving.
00:16:58.399 --> 00:17:03.345
You can listen to it when you first get in the car and waiting for it to warm up or cool off.
00:17:03.345 --> 00:17:07.816
I guess now, since it's going to be summer, I'd appreciate it.
00:17:07.816 --> 00:17:11.001
If you like it, let somebody else know about it too.
00:17:11.001 --> 00:17:14.035
That's wisdomforthedayorg.
00:17:14.035 --> 00:17:16.922
I love you, see ya.
00:17:22.631 --> 00:17:32.040
Over the past few months, I've gotten a lot of emails, a lot of messages from people talking about prayer, and a lot of them were questions about what is the proper way to pray.
00:17:32.040 --> 00:17:37.840
Is it the best to pray standing up or sitting down or kneeling?
00:17:37.840 --> 00:17:40.577
Should your hands be open or closed?
00:17:40.577 --> 00:17:43.838
Do your eyes need to be open or closed when you pray?
00:17:43.838 --> 00:17:50.962
Is it better to pray in church or out in nature, or in the morning when we get up or before we go to bed.
00:17:50.962 --> 00:17:54.580
Are there specific words that we're supposed to say?
00:17:54.580 --> 00:17:56.776
How do we begin our prayer?
00:17:56.776 --> 00:17:58.575
How do you close it?
00:17:58.575 --> 00:18:02.935
Well, do any of the above things matter?
00:18:02.935 --> 00:18:05.442
I don't know.
00:18:05.442 --> 00:18:09.230
Let's talk about it a little Now.
00:18:09.269 --> 00:18:16.023
Far too often, prayer is viewed like a magic formula, like a wish.
00:18:16.023 --> 00:18:27.518
Some people believe that if we don't say exactly the right things or pray the right words or take the right position, god's not going to hear and answer our prayer.
00:18:27.518 --> 00:18:31.289
Now, that is just completely unbiblical.
00:18:31.289 --> 00:18:32.992
That is just completely unbiblical.
00:18:32.992 --> 00:18:46.327
God does not answer our prayers based on when we pray, where we are, what position our body's in and what order we use words in our prayers.
00:18:46.327 --> 00:18:58.096
We're told in 1 John 5, verses 14 and 15, to have confidence that when we come to God in prayer, that we need to know that he hears us and will grant whatever we ask, as long as it's in His will.
00:18:58.096 --> 00:19:12.210
And in John, chapter 14, verse 3, see, if that was a prayer, it'd be all messed up right now, according to some of y'all.
00:19:12.210 --> 00:19:17.471
But God doesn't mind flubs, and I don't either, which is why I'm going to keep that.
00:19:17.471 --> 00:19:28.728
But in John, chapter 14, verses 3 through 14, we hear and I will do whatever you ask in my name so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.
00:19:28.728 --> 00:19:33.791
You may ask me anything in my name and I'll do it.
00:19:34.680 --> 00:19:46.692
So, according to these and many other scriptures, god answers prayer requests based on whether they're asked according to his will and in the name of Jesus to bring glory to Jesus.
00:19:46.692 --> 00:19:50.228
So what's the proper way to pray?
00:19:50.228 --> 00:20:00.290
Philippians 4, 6, and 7 tells us to pray without being anxious to pray about everything, and to pray with thankful hearts.
00:20:00.290 --> 00:20:06.051
God will answer all your prayers with the gift of his peace in our heart.
00:20:06.051 --> 00:20:12.132
The proper way to pray is to pour out our hearts to God, being honest and open with God.
00:20:12.132 --> 00:20:24.131
He already knows us better than we know ourselves, and we're to present our request to God keeping in mind that God knows what's best and will not grant a request that is not in His will for us.
00:20:24.131 --> 00:20:34.619
And we're supposed to express our love and our gratitude and worship to God in prayer, without worrying about having just the right words to say.
00:20:34.619 --> 00:20:42.013
God's more interested in the content of our hearts than in the eloquence of our words.
00:20:44.740 --> 00:20:53.849
Now, the closest the Bible comes to, giving a pattern for prayer, is the Lord's Prayer Matthew 6, 9 through 13.
00:20:53.849 --> 00:21:12.432
I need you all to understand that the Lord's Prayer is not a prayer that we're supposed to memorize and recite to God, and it's an example of the things that should go into a prayer Worship, trusting God, request, confession, submission.
00:21:12.432 --> 00:21:22.872
We're supposed to pray for the things the Lord's Prayer talks about, using our own words and customizing it to our own journey with God.
00:21:22.872 --> 00:21:38.528
The proper way to pray is to express our hearts to God, sitting, standing, kneeling, hands open or closed, eyes open or closed, in a church, at a home or outside, in the morning or at night.
00:21:38.528 --> 00:21:47.805
These are all side issues and they're subject to your own personal preference and your conviction and your appropriateness.
00:21:47.805 --> 00:21:52.651
God's desire is for prayer to be real and personal.
00:21:52.651 --> 00:21:57.651
It's a connection between himself and you.
00:21:57.651 --> 00:22:03.648
For a last-minute thing, this made me laugh.
00:22:03.648 --> 00:22:13.284
Well, for a last minute thing, this made me laugh, jeez.
00:22:13.585 --> 00:22:28.248
About 25 years ago I was a children's minister youth and children at a little church in Alabama and I had to do a little children's sermon each Sunday morning and I didn't make this up, but I had found it and thought well, the little kids will get this one and I had more adults come to me and say, hey, what were those five things again.
00:22:28.248 --> 00:22:32.330
So I thought maybe y'all would enjoy this for the podcast.
00:22:32.330 --> 00:22:39.936
It was something I found called the five-finger prayer and it's just a method to help you remember the categories of people to pray for.
00:22:39.936 --> 00:22:50.307
It's just a memory device used as an aid for prayer.
00:22:50.307 --> 00:23:00.826
So if you hold your hand out and hold your left hand up, I guess your right hand it doesn't really matter which hand, because I guess it's the same, it would just be the direction you go in.
00:23:01.441 --> 00:23:03.007
But look at your fingers.
00:23:03.007 --> 00:23:03.990
Your fingers are extended.
00:23:03.990 --> 00:23:12.683
So I always start with the thumb, because it's the thickest and it's the strongest and when the hand is at rest, the thumb is nearest to the rest of the body.
00:23:12.683 --> 00:23:18.784
It reminds us to pray for family and friends and people who are closest to us.
00:23:18.784 --> 00:23:23.873
And then, next to that, is your pointy finger, your index finger.
00:23:23.873 --> 00:23:26.278
And then, next to that, is your pointy finger, your index finger.
00:23:26.278 --> 00:23:32.404
That one should remind you to pray for people who point the way teachers, church leaders.
00:23:32.424 --> 00:23:33.567
Then we come to the middle finger.
00:23:33.567 --> 00:23:44.759
It's the tallest finger that one should remind us to pray for our government leaders.
00:23:44.759 --> 00:23:49.112
It's odd that it's a, or maybe it's not odd that it's the middle finger, but we'll move on from there to the ring finger.
00:23:49.112 --> 00:23:57.192
The ring finger is usually the weakest of our fingers and it should remind us to pray for the weak and the sick that are all around us.
00:23:57.192 --> 00:24:02.486
And then, last but not least, is your little finger, the pinky.
00:24:02.486 --> 00:24:09.644
It's the smallest finger and it represents you, the person that's praying.
00:24:09.644 --> 00:24:29.502
We need to pray for ourselves, but in humility we need to remember that we're the least important and really the last that we should be praying for, last that we should be praying for.
00:24:29.502 --> 00:24:29.763
So that's it.
00:24:29.763 --> 00:24:30.487
There's nothing specific to this.
00:24:30.487 --> 00:24:36.345
There's nothing that's unbiblical about it, except maybe that middle finger part, and I promise I did not teach that to the little children.
00:24:36.345 --> 00:24:39.992
It's just a method to help people remember who to pray for.
00:24:39.992 --> 00:24:48.885
It's just like a prayer list, and since our hands are always attached to us, if we have hands, if we don't, I apologize, but I didn't know.
00:24:48.885 --> 00:24:55.932
Just to remind you that the need of prayer is constant.
00:25:01.480 --> 00:25:03.489
Well, that's all for this week's show.
00:25:03.489 --> 00:25:07.190
You know, the name of this show speaks my hope for you.
00:25:07.190 --> 00:25:11.049
It's taken from the words of Romans, chapter 12, verse 2.
00:25:11.049 --> 00:25:25.431
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing, you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
00:25:27.840 --> 00:25:32.833
If you enjoyed what you heard, do me a favor, please, and tell someone you know about it.
00:25:32.833 --> 00:25:36.401

If it was valuable to you, it will be to them.
00:25:44.244 --> 00:25:44.506
Is.
00:25:44.506 --> 00:25:46.769
