Rick's Personal Life Pruning Season

Rick's Personal Life Pruning Season

Personal Life

Send us a Text Message.

Can losing your job be a path to personal and spiritual growth? Navigating through the emotional and financial turbulence of job loss, I share my 13-year journey with a company that ended abruptly and how it reshaped my faith and worldview. Drawing inspiration from John 15:2, I delve into the metaphor of life's pruning phases, exploring how such challenges can lead to greater fruitfulness. I also offer insights on the shifting landscape of job security and the importance of seeking identity beyond professional titles and material possessions. This episode is a heartfelt reflection on vulnerability, faith, and the resilience required to find new pathways in life.

Finding strength and solace in community and scripture has been vital during this period of joblessness. I recount the unwavering support of my church family and the comfort found in scriptures like 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 and Psalm 25:3, which remind us of God's protection and sovereignty. I also highlight the practical aspects of my journey, such as financial struggles and how past decisions, like living in an RV, have eased current burdens. This podcast isn't just a ministry; it's also a form of therapy that keeps me grounded. With gratitude for my listeners and supporters, I reaffirm my commitment to this work, trusting that God has a plan for the future.

00:00:03.245 --> 00:00:08.234
I told you in this morning's snippet podcast that I would have one for you today.

00:00:08.234 --> 00:00:15.513
Well, it's 1120 pm, central Time, so I am going to be able to hold fast to that promise.

00:00:15.513 --> 00:00:22.213
Sorry if you're on the East Coast and it's after midnight, but we're going on Central Time here.

00:00:22.213 --> 00:00:24.926
I did promise you a show.

00:00:24.926 --> 00:00:26.626
This is a show.

00:00:26.626 --> 00:00:28.908
I hope you enjoy it.

00:00:28.908 --> 00:00:31.827
I hope you enjoy the little insight to my life.

00:00:31.827 --> 00:00:40.909
Know that I love you, every single one of you, and we're going to continue this relationship for a long time.

00:00:40.909 --> 00:00:53.901
Let's go boys for a long time.

00:00:53.901 --> 00:00:54.222
Let's go boys.

00:00:54.241 --> 00:00:57.750
Hey, welcome to Renewed Mindsets, where we study the basics of the faith through the lens of our middle-aged experiences.

00:00:57.750 --> 00:00:58.411
I'm Rick.

00:00:58.411 --> 00:01:09.114
Welcome to the show where I help you, gen Xers and Millennials, navigate spiritually through a world that looks nothing like we expected back, when cars were square and mullets were totally awesome.

00:01:09.114 --> 00:01:11.225
I am so glad you're here.

00:01:11.225 --> 00:01:18.969
Well, I told you I'd have a show for you and I do.

00:01:18.969 --> 00:01:23.085
I'm glad that you came back to listen.

00:01:25.310 --> 00:01:26.352
This is a little odd.

00:01:26.352 --> 00:01:34.138
I'm just going to talk to you a little bit today.

00:01:34.138 --> 00:01:36.501
We've been together for months, right?

00:01:36.501 --> 00:01:37.983
You know a little bit about my life.

00:01:37.983 --> 00:01:40.867
You know things that are happening and going on.

00:01:40.867 --> 00:01:48.495
And I've just hit one of those places and you're my people and I needed you to pray for me and you on.

00:01:48.495 --> 00:01:54.246
And I've just hit one of those places and you're my people and I needed you to pray for me and you did, and I actually had a really great rest of the day.

00:01:54.266 --> 00:02:25.930
In a nutshell, in a nutshell in a nutshell Tuesday at about 3.30 in the afternoon, I got laid off from a job that I've had for 13 years, right in the middle of a time in my life where I'm probably as vulnerable as I've ever been.

00:02:25.930 --> 00:02:31.768
But I'm in the best place I've ever been at.

00:02:31.768 --> 00:02:38.152
And you wonder why is this happening now?

00:02:38.152 --> 00:02:40.866
God, have I not been faithful?

00:02:40.866 --> 00:02:48.269
Do I not pray enough?

00:02:48.269 --> 00:02:52.034
Am I not in church every time the doors are open?

00:02:52.034 --> 00:02:54.061
Have I not been tithing?

00:02:54.061 --> 00:03:03.491
Have I not been experiencing you and your Holy Spirit in ways that I've never experienced it before?

00:03:03.491 --> 00:03:06.014
The answer is yes.

00:03:06.014 --> 00:03:22.412
I have done all that, and so it's really weird that the Holy Spirit has given my pastors so much information about all of us at church.

00:03:22.412 --> 00:03:32.271
So much information about all of us at church, but the one that hit this weekend was talking about pruning of branches.

00:03:32.271 --> 00:03:43.352
John 15.2 from the New Living Translation says he cuts off every branch of mine that doesn't produce fruit and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.

00:03:43.352 --> 00:03:48.479
Prunes the branches that do bear fruit, so they will produce even more.

00:03:58.319 --> 00:04:04.734
Well, that job, which was made for me, that job served me well for 13 years and I did a great job for them for most of those 13 years.

00:04:04.734 --> 00:04:26.165
We won't get into the whys and the hows it's really not any of y'all's business and I don't need to speak disparagingly on a company but I was beginning to not be able to produce fruit based on that job be able to produce fruit based on that job.

00:04:26.165 --> 00:04:43.898
I noticed, and it was brought to my attention, that I had a lot of pride when it came to that job and I'm not talking about the good kind, I'm talking about the pride that I was showing was something I needed to get rid of.

00:04:43.898 --> 00:04:50.040
I thought I knew better.

00:04:50.040 --> 00:04:57.019
I thought that I had more business running that business than the people that bought the business did.

00:04:57.019 --> 00:04:59.528
So it was time to leave.

00:05:00.040 --> 00:05:06.889
I believe that God did move me and he pruned that branch out of my life.

00:05:06.889 --> 00:05:22.709
And as I look back on the last eight months, nine months of my life, so many things that I had carried with me into this season.

00:05:22.709 --> 00:05:34.848
He's gotten rid of Things that were super important to me Really in the last two years, things that I did.

00:05:34.848 --> 00:05:45.774
I mean I sold my house and bought an RV and I've been living in an RV since January of 2024.

00:05:45.774 --> 00:05:48.846
Sorry, 2023.

00:05:48.846 --> 00:05:51.367
Man, I can't even keep my time straight now.

00:05:51.367 --> 00:06:00.088
People thought I was nuts, but you know what God really pushed that on me.

00:06:00.088 --> 00:06:03.963
I thought it was for a specific reason.

00:06:03.963 --> 00:06:10.514
It ended up being not for that reason, but I still see God's hand in it.

00:06:13.201 --> 00:06:17.149
And what kind of panic would I be in right now, having lost my job, if I had a mortgage?

00:06:17.149 --> 00:06:24.779
Right, I've talked about identity before on this podcast.

00:06:24.779 --> 00:06:29.177
I've talked about identity before on this podcast.

00:06:29.177 --> 00:06:35.466
I needed to be reminded that my identity is not in my job.

00:06:35.466 --> 00:06:38.552
My identity is not in my girlfriend or fiance.

00:06:38.552 --> 00:06:52.620
My identity is not in my friends or the house that I live in or the car that I drive.

00:06:52.620 --> 00:07:03.259
We need to be reminded that, whether or not we have a job, that whatever work that I did, I was God's child.

00:07:03.259 --> 00:07:15.000
No-transcript.

00:07:15.000 --> 00:07:22.213
And now that I've lost that job, it's a lot easier to see that right.

00:07:26.483 --> 00:07:30.040
But this experience has made me rethink the idea of job security.

00:07:30.040 --> 00:07:34.891
You know, back with you know we're Gen Xers.

00:07:34.891 --> 00:07:41.870
Our parents maybe had it, but our grandparents for sure had a job for life.

00:07:41.870 --> 00:07:56.415
If they wanted it, they could have started working at 18 and stayed there until retirement and got a nice watch and got a nice pension and moved to Florida and lived happily ever after.

00:07:56.415 --> 00:07:58.386
You know we're not doing that.

00:07:58.386 --> 00:08:00.745
That's the fairy tale.

00:08:00.745 --> 00:08:08.927
Now CEOs are getting fired on the spot, people are getting reshuffled.

00:08:08.927 --> 00:08:14.072
You're losing work colleagues all the time.

00:08:14.072 --> 00:08:22.932
It's all about deadlines and the bottom line and working too much.

00:08:28.021 --> 00:08:51.052
And then a few years ago, you know we've seen how the entire economic sector could wither overnight, like it did with COVID and all the international travel and the gatherings were restricted, and tourism the tourism industry came to a standstill.

00:08:51.052 --> 00:08:53.066
Businesses had to close.

00:08:53.066 --> 00:08:55.306
A lot of people lost their jobs.

00:08:55.306 --> 00:08:55.988
I didn't.

00:08:55.988 --> 00:09:04.703
I was able to keep working through all that Physical work.

00:09:04.703 --> 00:09:09.610
It wasn't online, it wasn't Zoom calls.

00:09:09.610 --> 00:09:27.154
I had an opportunity to work and continue making money where a lot of people had to go on unemployment or find other jobs or just do without.

00:09:28.480 --> 00:09:30.841
So I need to be thankful that I had it.

00:09:30.841 --> 00:09:48.697
For that I'm going to try really hard to not have anxiety, which is not from God.

00:09:48.697 --> 00:09:56.928
Anyway it's fear and there's really no reason to be.

00:09:56.928 --> 00:09:59.011
I'm 56.

00:09:59.011 --> 00:10:00.875
I'm not married.

00:10:00.875 --> 00:10:06.668
My kids are grown.

00:10:06.668 --> 00:10:16.634
You know, the hardest part is accepting that it happened, but there's nothing really that I could do about it.

00:10:16.634 --> 00:10:17.399
I wasn't going to change their mind.

00:10:17.399 --> 00:10:18.947
There was some nice benefits for me leaving.

00:10:18.947 --> 00:10:19.250
I wasn't fired.

00:10:19.250 --> 00:10:19.614
Change their mind.

00:10:19.614 --> 00:10:21.203
There was some nice benefits for me leaving.

00:10:21.203 --> 00:10:24.144
I wasn't fired, it was just a layoff.

00:10:24.144 --> 00:10:29.946
But you know, again, the reasons are not important.

00:10:29.946 --> 00:10:38.447
But it's still tough thinking about being 56 and starting a new career.

00:10:38.447 --> 00:10:43.070
I don't want to be the bottom of the rung of the ladder again.

00:10:43.070 --> 00:10:45.527
I don't want to learn something new.

00:10:45.527 --> 00:10:51.672
I thought I was at a position where I could just skate on through right.

00:10:51.672 --> 00:11:02.312
God always has something else planned, but we need to find comfort and hope and assurance in God and not that job.

00:11:04.159 --> 00:11:06.423
Psalm 121, verses 1 and 2,.

00:11:06.423 --> 00:11:16.676
The psalmist turns his eyes heavenward because he knows that God is the only person that he can look to and rely on in times of trouble.

00:11:16.676 --> 00:11:21.328
It says I lift up my eyes to the mountains.

00:11:21.328 --> 00:11:22.926
Where does my help come from.

00:11:22.926 --> 00:11:27.110
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.

00:11:27.110 --> 00:11:36.989
And then it goes on to take heart that God will not let our foot slip because he's watching over us day and night.

00:11:36.989 --> 00:11:53.754
So if you've experienced a job loss or know anybody who may be at risk for losing their job, it's comforting truth that we can rely on completely is knowing that God is watching over us all the time.

00:11:53.754 --> 00:12:07.506
We can take heart in that God is still in control, and when our well-being is threatened by external factors that are outside of our control, god remains good and faithful.

00:12:07.506 --> 00:12:16.768
He's there in our darkest moments and though we may not always sense his presence, he's there.

00:12:20.422 --> 00:12:23.671
Our identity is not our job.

00:12:23.671 --> 00:12:26.986
Our identity is not in our job.

00:12:26.986 --> 00:12:34.533
Our identity as Christ's beloved child means that we're not defined by what we do.

00:12:34.533 --> 00:12:45.645
Even when we're stripped of our possessions or our career, our achievements, we're still cherished and valued by God.

00:12:45.645 --> 00:12:59.669
He loves us just like we are, and we need to remember and I need to remember one of the hardest parts about losing a job is money.

00:13:00.130 --> 00:13:07.413
Right, I mean, I was pretty blessed for 13 years to be able to just buy what I wanted when I wanted to.

00:13:07.413 --> 00:13:14.068
I feel really foolish doing that now.

00:13:14.068 --> 00:13:20.845
I wish I would have saved more of it, but I didn't, and that's fine.

00:13:20.845 --> 00:13:31.431
But we need to remember that money serves us, not the other way around, and the Bible has so much to say about money and stewardship.

00:13:31.431 --> 00:13:40.768
So this, to me, is a good time to think about planning ahead financially, is a good time to think about planning ahead financially.

00:13:40.868 --> 00:13:48.846
Until I figure out what's going on, I need to hold back on spending where I can.

00:13:48.846 --> 00:13:51.511
I'd like to have a new car, but I'm not going to do that right now.

00:13:51.511 --> 00:13:59.587
I might have to cut down on some of the discretionary spending.

00:13:59.587 --> 00:14:00.750
I love my friends and family.

00:14:00.750 --> 00:14:13.874
Maybe when we go out now we, all you know, pick up our own checks Not that anyone ever asked me to do that.

00:14:13.874 --> 00:14:20.176
I always liked doing it.

00:14:21.220 --> 00:14:25.912
But a wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets.

00:14:25.912 --> 00:14:40.686
I may have been a bit foolish as a man who has a podcast about Solomon and his wisdom Wisdomforthedayorg.

00:14:40.686 --> 00:14:45.065
Proverbs 21.20,.

00:14:45.065 --> 00:14:49.447
Wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends wherever he gets.

00:14:49.447 --> 00:15:02.552
My only excuse is that I'm only on chapter 14 of Proverbs in that podcast and I haven't hit 21 yet, so maybe I didn't hear that.

00:15:02.552 --> 00:15:05.466
Yeah, that's not going to fly either, is it?

00:15:05.466 --> 00:15:12.606
You know what I do have?

00:15:12.606 --> 00:15:15.504
I got a really nice text earlier.

00:15:15.504 --> 00:15:17.370
I'm going to read it.

00:15:19.201 --> 00:15:20.466
Some of y'all know who it's from.

00:15:20.466 --> 00:15:30.952
In a nutshell, it just says I'm sorry you're being pruned right now.

00:15:30.952 --> 00:15:33.763
You know you're not alone.

00:15:33.763 --> 00:15:36.607
God's got you and you have all of us now.

00:15:36.607 --> 00:15:39.413
We love you and we're praying for you.

00:15:39.413 --> 00:15:52.032
That comes from the executive producer of this show, yelena McClellan, and her husband Chet and their kids.

00:15:54.221 --> 00:15:59.525
That's something that I didn't have when I started this job is I didn't have a community.

00:15:59.525 --> 00:16:03.844
I didn't have my church family.

00:16:03.844 --> 00:16:18.793
I had my family, but we're all kind of going doing our own thing and you know we love each other, but I didn't have the community that I have now.

00:16:18.793 --> 00:16:28.145
I didn't have the community that I have now and I don't have to walk this journey of being jobless alone.

00:16:28.145 --> 00:16:57.738
My Christian life is rooted in community, which means that I can turn to friends in church to stand with me in prayer, to listen to my struggles, to encourage me to keep going when things get tough, because the fear that I have in not having a job is not being able to be a good protector.

00:16:57.738 --> 00:17:03.749
That I have In not having a job Is not being able to be a good protector.

00:17:03.788 --> 00:17:12.392
There's another text that I got from someone and it says Good night, sweetheart, I love you.

00:17:12.392 --> 00:17:22.049
And that one is the hardest for this, because God protects those who trust in him.

00:17:22.049 --> 00:17:39.707
God is sovereign and he watches over his children, and he protects us because he loves us, and we may experience hardship as a result of living in a fallen world, but though we might be struck down, we're not crushed.

00:17:39.707 --> 00:17:44.484
2 Corinthians 4, 8-10.

00:17:44.484 --> 00:17:49.106
No one who hopes in God will ever be put to shame.

00:17:49.106 --> 00:17:52.974
Psalm 25, 3.

00:17:52.974 --> 00:17:58.627
Let us hold firm to the Lord in quiet confidence and trust.

00:17:58.627 --> 00:18:10.363
I want to be Sorry.

00:18:11.694 --> 00:18:17.259
Probably shouldn't be clearing my throat, but, like I said, this is a little bit different one for y'all.

00:18:17.259 --> 00:18:34.093
My prayer for myself in this time is Lord, help me to remember that my identity is in you.

00:18:34.093 --> 00:18:43.497
My identity is in you, father.

00:18:43.497 --> 00:18:47.894
God, I trust that you will provide and help me through this difficult time.

00:18:47.894 --> 00:19:06.394
Your word says that those who hope in you will never be put to shame, and remind me that, even when I have a job, I work for you and not for men.

00:19:06.394 --> 00:19:11.273
So what he has for me is yet to be seen.

00:19:11.273 --> 00:19:23.230
What I have for you my Renewed Mindsets family is my reassurance that my commitment to this podcast has not changed.

00:19:23.230 --> 00:19:35.069
I will continue creating content and preaching God's word and teaching God's word, just like I always have.

00:19:35.069 --> 00:19:44.545
Really, there might be more of it who knows but right now this is the job that I have.

00:19:44.545 --> 00:19:52.624
Unfortunately, this job doesn't pay very much to the supporters that I have.

00:19:52.624 --> 00:19:56.162
Thank you, you're $5 a month.

00:19:56.162 --> 00:19:58.962
It is really going to mean a lot here.

00:20:01.155 --> 00:20:02.981
Is this a plea for help?

00:20:02.981 --> 00:20:06.663
Well, let's go ahead and just say what it is.

00:20:06.663 --> 00:20:11.679
If you feel like you want to support this ministry, know that it's going to help.

00:20:11.679 --> 00:20:13.305
Support me right now.

00:20:13.305 --> 00:20:16.843
I'm not trying to buy a new car.

00:20:16.843 --> 00:20:21.105
I'm not even trying to put a roof over my head because my RV is paid for.

00:20:21.105 --> 00:20:28.528
But, lord, if you just help me get a pack of ramen noodles once a week, we could all chip in for that right.

00:20:28.528 --> 00:20:31.659
I'm just kidding with y'all.

00:20:31.659 --> 00:20:37.181
I love you as much as I'm going to lean on God in this.

00:20:37.181 --> 00:20:38.123
I'm going to lean on you.

00:20:38.123 --> 00:20:41.436
I'd like to hear your thoughts on it.

00:20:43.500 --> 00:20:45.204
At the beginning of this podcast you heard.

00:20:45.204 --> 00:20:55.602
If you just go to the show notes, you can click on the first line of the show notes and send a message right to me from your phone.

00:20:55.602 --> 00:21:04.108
I'd love to hear from you Anything encouraging that you have to say prayers.

00:21:04.108 --> 00:21:07.152
I honestly would love it.

00:21:07.152 --> 00:21:13.546
I got lots of time now this is really going to be one of the best things.

00:21:13.546 --> 00:21:23.013
I think one of the best things that's ever happened.

00:21:23.013 --> 00:21:27.382
Hmm, so what do y'all think?

00:21:27.382 --> 00:21:29.025
I met somebody out there listening.

00:21:29.025 --> 00:21:29.605
It's like man.

00:21:29.605 --> 00:21:30.928
I wish I could hire Rick.

00:21:30.928 --> 00:21:43.205
He would be a great employee to work remotely for me.

00:21:43.226 --> 00:21:52.451
I mean, you do not receive because you fail to ask, right, what is the scripture there?

00:21:52.451 --> 00:21:58.335
It's you don't have what you want because you don't ask for it.

00:21:58.335 --> 00:22:02.853
James, chapter 4, 4, verse 2.

00:22:02.853 --> 00:22:08.214
And verse 3 says even when you ask, you don't get it because your motives are all wrong.

00:22:08.214 --> 00:22:11.708
You want only what will give you pleasure.

00:22:11.708 --> 00:22:22.589
It's kind of sad Because a lot of the prayers that I've had over the last few years have just been about wants, not needs, but wants.

00:22:22.589 --> 00:22:29.665
And God is so good he gives you your wants.

00:22:29.665 --> 00:22:36.688
I've got a want right now in my life.

00:22:36.688 --> 00:22:37.855
That was a gift from God that I do not deserve.

00:22:37.855 --> 00:22:40.579
So God is so good.

00:22:40.579 --> 00:22:50.903
I just need to remember that my identity is in him and I need to turn to him and put my faith in him and everything's going to work out.

00:22:50.903 --> 00:22:59.673
And I don't want to sound like I'm trying to convince myself here.

00:23:02.275 --> 00:23:05.305
This podcast may have been a little bit of therapy for me, just to get on and speak out loud the truth that I know to be.

00:23:05.305 --> 00:23:15.021
I'm going to cut it short here because you don't need to be listening to an hour long therapy session of mine.

00:23:15.021 --> 00:23:15.673
It's about 22 minutes to an hour-long therapy session of mine.

00:23:15.673 --> 00:23:19.520
It's about 22 minutes.

00:23:19.520 --> 00:23:29.795
By the time I add the intro and the outro, it's going to be a perfect length for you.

00:23:29.795 --> 00:23:33.700
I love you.

00:23:33.700 --> 00:23:35.988
And Renewed Mindsets is here to stay.

00:23:35.988 --> 00:23:38.461
It's here to stay Through thick and thin.

00:23:41.434 --> 00:23:43.116
This show is part of the new.

00:23:43.116 --> 00:23:44.178
It's not part of the old.

00:23:44.178 --> 00:23:48.282
This job was probably the last part of the old.

00:23:48.282 --> 00:23:54.411
Rick and God's pruning all that off.

00:23:54.411 --> 00:24:09.612
So my new church, my podcast, the new woman in my life we just had to get rid of the job.

00:24:09.612 --> 00:24:11.840
It was part of the old.

00:24:11.840 --> 00:24:16.863
We'll get a new job and then everything will be fresh.

00:24:23.654 --> 00:24:38.457
I want to personally thank Thomas and Kelly Belcher and Christy McCurry for all listening to the Holy Ghost and having the same scripture come up in their teachings for the last week, which is all about something that I needed, which is all about something that I needed.

00:24:38.457 --> 00:24:58.585
They all came up with their lessons for Sunday and for church tonight on Wednesday night before I lost my job on Tuesday afternoon, but what they had to say is exactly what I needed to hear.

00:24:58.585 --> 00:25:09.721
So I heard it Sunday before it happened and then I kind of heard it again on Wednesday after it happened, from another angle, and I think that's great.

00:25:09.721 --> 00:25:16.628
I think that's confirmation that this is just a pruning in my life.

00:25:16.628 --> 00:25:19.743
This is not a punishment.

00:25:19.743 --> 00:25:26.968
This is God just getting rid of a part of me that doesn't need to be in the future.

00:25:26.968 --> 00:25:31.623
So I'm excited to see where he goes.

00:25:31.623 --> 00:25:33.047
Stick with me.

00:25:33.047 --> 00:25:34.599
You'll see where we go.

00:25:34.599 --> 00:25:35.457
You'll be part of that journey.

00:25:35.457 --> 00:25:35.584
If you're with me, you'll see where we go.

00:25:35.584 --> 00:25:40.057
You'll be part of that journey.

00:25:40.077 --> 00:25:43.760
Don't forget to check out wisdomforthedayorg.

00:25:43.760 --> 00:25:50.007
It's the companion podcast to Renewed Mindsets podcast that you're listening to right now.

00:25:50.007 --> 00:26:02.977
You can listen to it on Apple or Spotify or anywhere else you listen to podcasts, or you can listen right from the webpage at wisdomforthedayorg.

00:26:02.977 --> 00:26:05.800
It's a short daily podcast, five minutes a day.

00:26:05.800 --> 00:26:11.910
We're reading through the book of Proverbs started six months ago.

00:26:11.910 --> 00:26:15.476
We're into the 14th chapter.

00:26:15.476 --> 00:26:23.869
Matter of fact, what I record in just a few minutes will be the first two verses from the 14th chapter of the book of Proverbs.

00:26:23.869 --> 00:26:32.464
But you can catch up or you can start in the middle, but after a year you've been through the whole book.

00:26:32.464 --> 00:26:35.241
Kind of a cool concept.

00:26:35.241 --> 00:26:37.560
It's an easy listen.

00:26:37.560 --> 00:26:39.367
Kind of a cool concept.

00:26:39.367 --> 00:26:40.311
It's an easy listen.

00:26:40.311 --> 00:26:52.994
It's a good way to start your day with some wisdom from the wisest man ever, solomon, and I'd appreciate your support on that.

00:26:52.994 --> 00:26:56.067
I love you.

00:26:56.067 --> 00:27:00.579
I'll talk to you soon.

00:27:00.640 --> 00:27:02.682
Well, that's all for this week's show.

00:27:02.682 --> 00:27:06.385
You know the name of this show speaks my hope for you.

00:27:06.385 --> 00:27:10.191
It's taken from the words of Romans, chapter 12, verse 2.

00:27:10.191 --> 00:27:24.603
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind that by testing, you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

00:27:24.603 --> 00:27:31.961
If you enjoyed what you heard, do me a favor, please, and tell someone you know about it.

00:27:31.961 --> 00:27:39.345

00:27:39.345 --> 00:27:43.365
If it was valuable to you, it will be to them.

I just might play it on a future episode.

00:28:05.583 --> 00:28:14.809
Until next week, I'm Rick, I love you.

00:28:14.809 --> 00:28:27.638
