Finding Peace in the End Times

Finding Peace in the End Times

Send us a text

Finding Peace feels increasingly elusive in our chaotic world of wars, natural disasters, and social division. Many of us wake up and immediately fill our minds with anxiety-inducing content before even acknowledging God. Yet as believers, we're promised a peace that transcends our circumstances—not the absence of problems, but the steadfast presence of God.

This episode dives deep into why peace seems so hard to find and identifies the primary thieves targeting our tranquility. Fear keeps us fixated on "what-ifs" rather than who God is. Unforgiveness chains us to past hurts when freedom awaits through extending the same grace Christ gave us. A divided mind—attempting to straddle both worldly and kingdom values—creates inevitable internal turmoil that only full surrender can resolve.

The path to lasting peace begins with practical daily choices: seeking God before checking our phones, meditating on Scripture that anchors our souls, and developing a lifestyle of Spirit-led living where peace becomes our natural state rather than a fleeting experience. Most powerfully, we share Sarah's journey—a woman who found supernatural peace after losing her husband in a tragic accident. Her testimony proves that God's peace isn't circumstantial but rooted in His unchanging presence. Ready to experience this peace yourself? Accept our seven-day challenge to declare trust in God each morning while meditating on Philippians 4:7. Don't just seek temporary relief from anxiety—embrace the unshakable peace Christ promised even in our most turbulent seasons.

00:00:00.882 --> 00:00:03.730
The world is changing and time is running out.

00:00:03.730 --> 00:00:12.410
This is Renewed Mindsets, where we confront biblical truth head-on no sugarcoating, no compromise.

00:00:12.410 --> 00:00:28.669
We expose false doctrine, reveal fulfilled prophecy and shine light on the demonic deception of these last days, but we also stand firm on the hope of Christ's return, the call to holiness and the urgency of true salvation.

00:00:28.669 --> 00:00:34.432
It's time to renew your mind, for the time is now.

00:00:34.432 --> 00:00:37.085
Let's go, boys.

00:00:37.085 --> 00:00:59.170
Hey, welcome to Renewed Mindsets, the podcast where we align our thoughts with the Word.

00:00:59.170 --> 00:01:05.155
I know hold on to in these times, finding peace in these last days.

00:01:05.155 --> 00:01:15.534
Now, when we look around at the world, it's clear that there are things that show us that we're living in times of great uncertainty.

00:01:15.534 --> 00:01:29.742
There's wars, there's rumors of wars, moral decay, natural disasters and division, natural disasters and division.

00:01:29.742 --> 00:01:32.046
It's easy to feel overwhelmed, but as believers, we're not called to live in fear.

00:01:32.046 --> 00:01:38.566
We're called to live in peace, the kind of peace that doesn't come from the world but from our Savior, jesus Christ.

00:01:38.566 --> 00:01:48.802
In John 16, 33, jesus reminds us I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace In this world.

00:01:48.802 --> 00:01:52.691
You will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world.

00:01:52.691 --> 00:02:14.354
So today, friends, we're going to explore why peace seems so hard to find, the biggest spiritual barriers that steal our peace, biblical truths that help us walk in God's peace and testimonies of people who found peace in the middle of trials.

00:02:14.354 --> 00:02:18.364
But before we begin, let's pray.

00:02:18.364 --> 00:02:26.876
Father, god, I pray that the Holy Spirit will come down upon every listener to bring peace and revelation.

00:02:26.876 --> 00:02:31.213
Father, speak to us today and help us find peace.

00:02:31.213 --> 00:02:32.520
Amen.

00:02:32.520 --> 00:02:35.289
All right, let's get started.

00:02:37.741 --> 00:02:43.950
Let's start with a question why does peace seem so hard to find?

00:02:43.950 --> 00:02:45.360
Why does peace seem so hard to find?

00:02:45.360 --> 00:02:48.943
I mean, if we're honest, many of us struggle with restlessness.

00:02:48.943 --> 00:02:55.169
The world is filled with distractions, bad news, fear-driven messages.

00:02:55.169 --> 00:03:03.236
We wake up, we check our phones and, before we've even spoken to God, we've already filled our minds with anxiety.

00:03:03.236 --> 00:03:16.403
But here's the truth Peace is not the absence of problems, it's the presence of God.

00:03:16.403 --> 00:03:20.417
Yeah, isaiah 26.3 tells us you will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.

00:03:21.980 --> 00:03:24.269
The key to peace isn't found in a perfect life.

00:03:24.269 --> 00:03:26.216
It's not found in money.

00:03:26.216 --> 00:03:28.021
It's not found in security.

00:03:28.021 --> 00:03:30.246
It's not found in a relationship.

00:03:30.246 --> 00:03:33.432
It's found in where we place our trust.

00:03:33.432 --> 00:03:39.782
If we're looking for peace in money or relationships or success, we're always going to come up empty.

00:03:39.782 --> 00:03:45.593
But if we put our trust in Jesus, we'll be unshaken, no matter what comes.

00:03:45.593 --> 00:03:49.109
So how do we begin to walk in that peace?

00:03:50.159 --> 00:03:56.173
So before we talk about how to find peace, we need to recognize what's stealing it from us.

00:03:56.173 --> 00:04:00.049
The first thing is fear and anxiety.

00:04:00.049 --> 00:04:04.383
Fear is one of the enemy's greatest weapons against believers.

00:04:04.383 --> 00:04:05.984
Fear is one of the enemy's greatest weapons against believers.

00:04:05.984 --> 00:04:10.168
He wants us to be so consumed by what-ifs that we forget who God is.

00:04:10.168 --> 00:04:35.735
Philippians, chapter 4, verses 6 and 7, gives us this command Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present our worries to God.

00:04:35.735 --> 00:04:42.629
So if you've been feeling anxious, ask yourself have I really surrendered this to the Lord?

00:04:42.629 --> 00:04:47.750
So then we've got unforgiveness and bitterness.

00:04:49.021 --> 00:04:52.211
Another thing that robs us of our peace is holding on to past hurts.

00:04:52.211 --> 00:05:00.213
Jesus commands us to forgive, not just for the other person but for our own freedom.

00:05:00.213 --> 00:05:06.286
Colossians 3.13 says Bear with each other and forgive one another.

00:05:06.286 --> 00:05:11.809
If any of you has a grievance against someone, forgive, as the Lord forgave you.

00:05:11.809 --> 00:05:18.990
If you're struggling with peace, ask yourself is there somebody that I need to forgive?

00:05:18.990 --> 00:05:24.201
The next thing that robs us of peace is a divided mind.

00:05:24.201 --> 00:05:29.283
James 1.8 tells us a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

00:05:29.283 --> 00:05:35.607
If we're trying to live with one foot in the world and one foot in the kingdom, we're always going to feel conflicted.

00:05:35.607 --> 00:05:39.629
True peace comes when we surrender everything to Christ.

00:05:39.629 --> 00:05:48.273
So now that we've identified the things that steal our peace, let's talk about how to walk in true, lasting peace.

00:05:48.673 --> 00:05:57.836
According to God's Word, the first thing that we have to do is seek God first in our lives.

00:05:57.836 --> 00:06:10.959
Matthew 6.33 tells us but seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

00:06:10.959 --> 00:06:15.980
Peace starts with prioritizing God.

00:06:15.980 --> 00:06:17.463
Most of us feel restless because we put God second or third in our lives.

00:06:17.463 --> 00:06:21.567
We squeeze him in between work and social media and entertainment.

00:06:21.567 --> 00:06:29.884
But when God is first, when we begin our day in His presence, everything else falls into place.

00:06:29.884 --> 00:06:38.425
So what you can do to put God first is to start your day with prayer before checking your phone.

00:06:38.425 --> 00:06:40.649
You know you're guilty of it.

00:06:40.649 --> 00:06:41.492
I am too.

00:06:42.800 --> 00:06:50.588
We need to spend time in God's Word every day, even if it's just one chapter and this one I try to do myself.

00:06:50.588 --> 00:06:53.154
All the time is worship, before you worry.

00:06:53.154 --> 00:06:57.947
Praise invites God's presence, and His presence brings peace.

00:06:57.947 --> 00:07:18.084
A lot of times during the day, you know if I'm driving down the interstate I'll just thank you Lord, praise you, father, bless you in the name of Jesus, just to get the words out, to get in the habit of praising God and worshiping him all throughout the day.

00:07:19.946 --> 00:07:24.074
Another thing we need to do is meditate on Scripture.

00:07:24.074 --> 00:07:32.716
Psalm 119, 165 says Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.

00:07:32.716 --> 00:07:39.995
God's Word is our anchor in turbulent times when we don't know what to do.

00:07:39.995 --> 00:07:42.767
Scripture reminds us of God's promises.

00:07:42.767 --> 00:07:48.230
If our minds are filled with fear, it's a lot of times because they're not filled with truth.

00:07:48.230 --> 00:07:51.446
So what can we do to meditate on Scripture?

00:07:51.446 --> 00:07:52.528
It's easy.

00:07:52.528 --> 00:08:11.254
Memorize at least one Scripture on peace this week, write it down, put it somewhere visible on your mirror, on your refrigerator, on your phone wallpaper and whenever anxiety creeps in, declare the Word of God out loud.

00:08:11.254 --> 00:08:17.928
Yeah, god's Word is alive and when we meditate on it we're transformed.

00:08:17.928 --> 00:08:27.130
And that's what it's all about is transforming our minds right, renewing our minds.

00:08:28.004 --> 00:08:31.315
Another way we can walk in peace is to live in the Spirit.

00:08:31.315 --> 00:08:37.157
Galatians 5, 22 and 23 tells us that peace is a fruit of the Spirit.

00:08:37.157 --> 00:08:42.748
That means the more we walk in the Spirit, the more peace we experience.

00:08:42.748 --> 00:08:44.789
Yeah, the more we walk in the Spirit, the more peace we experience.

00:08:44.789 --> 00:08:51.934
Yeah, romans 8.6 says the mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

00:08:51.934 --> 00:08:59.019
It's right there in God's Word the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

00:08:59.019 --> 00:09:02.202
The Holy Spirit is our helper.

00:09:02.202 --> 00:09:12.152
When we surrender daily to Him, he fills us with his peace, not the world's temporary relief.

00:09:12.152 --> 00:09:21.034
So, every day, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, every morning when you wake up.

00:09:21.034 --> 00:09:23.708
Avoid things that quench the Spirit Sin, yeah.

00:09:23.708 --> 00:09:23.970
Dist, yeah.

00:09:23.970 --> 00:09:28.249
Distractions, negativity.

00:09:28.249 --> 00:09:31.115
We need to develop a habit of worship and thanksgiving.

00:09:31.115 --> 00:09:40.577
A grateful heart attracts peace, and when we walk by the spirit, peace isn't something that we try to have.

00:09:40.577 --> 00:09:45.254
It becomes who we are.

00:09:45.274 --> 00:09:49.048
So I want to share a story of someone who found peace in the middle of a storm.

00:09:49.048 --> 00:09:59.687
Now, this is a true story about a woman named Sarah, a woman who faced one of the most difficult seasons of her life but discovered the unshakable peace of God.

00:09:59.687 --> 00:10:04.134
Sarah was a devoted wife and mother of two young children.

00:10:04.134 --> 00:10:11.095
Life was good and she not always trusted God, but nothing could have prepared her for what was coming.

00:10:11.095 --> 00:10:15.308
One evening, as she was making dinner, her phone rang.

00:10:15.308 --> 00:10:17.013
It was the hospital.

00:10:17.013 --> 00:10:20.966
Her husband, michael, had been in a terrible car accident.

00:10:20.966 --> 00:10:22.208
A drunk driver had run a red light.

00:10:22.208 --> 00:10:23.671
Michael had been in a terrible car accident.

00:10:23.671 --> 00:10:26.375
A drunk driver had run a red light crashing into his car at full speed.

00:10:26.375 --> 00:10:35.688
The doctors did everything they could, but after hours of surgery, michael didn't make it.

00:10:35.688 --> 00:10:36.410
In an instant.

00:10:36.912 --> 00:10:38.254
Sarah's world shattered.

00:10:38.254 --> 00:10:40.984
She couldn't breathe, she couldn't think.

00:10:40.984 --> 00:10:46.774
All she could do was cry out God, why, why would you let this happen?

00:10:46.774 --> 00:10:52.096
The days that followed were filled with grief and confusion and fear.

00:10:52.096 --> 00:10:55.313
She didn't know how she would raise her children alone.

00:10:55.313 --> 00:10:59.246
She didn't know how she would pay the bills At night.

00:10:59.246 --> 00:11:03.592
The silence in the house was deafening and the weight of loneliness pressed down on her.

00:11:05.284 --> 00:11:13.048
One evening, after putting her kids to bed, sarah fell on her knees in the living room With tears streaming down her face.

00:11:13.048 --> 00:11:21.136
She opened her Bible to Psalm 34, 18, which says the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

00:11:21.136 --> 00:11:23.570
She cried out to God.

00:11:23.570 --> 00:11:29.876
Lord, I don't understand this, I don't know how to move forward, but I choose to trust you.

00:11:29.876 --> 00:11:34.105
Please give me your peace Now.

00:11:34.105 --> 00:11:36.715
As she sat at that quiet place, something changed.

00:11:36.715 --> 00:11:46.804
She didn't hear an audible voice, she didn't see a vision, but she felt a peace settle over her, a peace she couldn't explain.

00:11:46.804 --> 00:11:52.727
It was as if God was wrapping his arms around her, whispering I am with you.

00:11:54.751 --> 00:12:02.432
From that night forward, sarah made a choice Every day she would start her morning in prayer and in God's word, even when she didn't feel like it.

00:12:02.432 --> 00:12:06.748
She wrote out Philippians 4-7 and placed it on her refrigerator.

00:12:06.748 --> 00:12:12.850
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

00:12:12.850 --> 00:12:16.784
Little by little, god began to restore her heart.

00:12:16.784 --> 00:12:22.092
She still grieved, but she was no longer consumed by fear.

00:12:22.092 --> 00:12:27.520
She still missed her husband, but she was no longer overwhelmed by despair.

00:12:27.520 --> 00:12:31.615
The peace of God carried her step by step.

00:12:31.615 --> 00:12:37.136
A year later, sarah started a support group for widows and single mothers at her church.

00:12:37.136 --> 00:12:44.975
She shared her story of loss, but, more importantly, she shared how God had been her anchor in the storm.

00:12:44.975 --> 00:12:51.937
Through her pain, she was able to lead others to peace, the peace she had found in Christ.

00:12:53.485 --> 00:12:58.037
Today, sarah looks back and realizes that the peace of God isn't about having an easy life.

00:12:58.037 --> 00:13:03.631
It's about knowing that, no matter what happens, he's in control.

00:13:03.631 --> 00:13:06.096
His peace isn't fragile.

00:13:06.096 --> 00:13:08.740
It isn't based on circumstances.

00:13:08.740 --> 00:13:17.802
It's rooted in the unchanging truth that he is always with us.

00:13:17.802 --> 00:13:20.517
I want you to listen to me.

00:13:20.517 --> 00:13:24.807
Maybe you're here today and you're in your own storm.

00:13:24.807 --> 00:13:26.289
I know, I have been.

00:13:26.289 --> 00:13:28.331
We've all been there.

00:13:28.331 --> 00:13:33.700
Maybe life has thrown you into a season of uncertainty or loss or pain.

00:13:33.700 --> 00:13:42.028
I want you to know the same peace that Sarah found is available to you right now.

00:13:42.048 --> 00:13:44.392
Jesus says in John 14, 27,.

00:13:44.392 --> 00:13:46.676
Peace I leave with you.

00:13:46.676 --> 00:13:48.798
My peace I give to you.

00:13:48.798 --> 00:13:56.725
I do not give it to you as the world gives.

00:13:56.725 --> 00:13:57.846
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

00:13:57.846 --> 00:14:08.315
If you're struggling today, I encourage you go to him, pray, surrender your worries and let his peace wash over you.

00:14:08.315 --> 00:14:10.596
He's closer than you think.

00:14:10.596 --> 00:14:17.001
So, as I wrap up, I want to remind you peace is a promise from God.

00:14:17.001 --> 00:14:27.427
It's not something you have to chase, it's something you receive.

00:14:27.447 --> 00:14:28.909
Now here's my next challenge for you For the next seven days.

00:14:28.909 --> 00:14:31.916
Begin each morning by declaring I choose to trust God today.

00:14:31.916 --> 00:14:34.038
His peace rules my heart.

00:14:34.038 --> 00:14:39.535
I encourage you to write down Philippians 4-7 and meditate on it this week.

00:14:39.535 --> 00:14:41.480
Let it sink into your.

00:14:41.480 --> 00:14:45.072
Before we go, let's pray.

00:14:45.072 --> 00:14:51.998
Father God, I want you to reach down and touch everyone who listened here today.

00:14:51.998 --> 00:14:53.530
We've all been there.

00:14:53.530 --> 00:14:56.774
We've all had times when we had no peace.

00:14:56.774 --> 00:15:03.933
Father God, I ask you to fill every listener with your peace In Jesus' name, amen.

00:15:05.645 --> 00:15:14.236
If this episode blessed, you, share it with someone who needs encouragement and remember to follow Renewed Mindsets for more faith-filled content.

00:15:14.236 --> 00:15:17.933
And until next time, stay rooted in God's peace.

00:15:17.933 --> 00:15:29.511
And, before I go, know that there's a part two of this episode that'll be released in the next few days, a conversation between me and Lauren.

00:15:29.511 --> 00:15:30.855
You remember, lauren?

00:15:30.855 --> 00:15:36.471
It's going to be really good, really insightful, and I think you're going to enjoy it.

00:15:36.471 --> 00:15:38.331
It should change lives.

00:15:38.331 --> 00:15:48.681
That's all for today, but I'll be back with more unfiltered biblical truth and undeniable prophecy.

00:15:49.423 --> 00:15:50.947
The time to wake up is now.

00:15:50.947 --> 00:15:55.496
If today's episode challenged you, don't keep it to yourself.

00:15:55.496 --> 00:15:56.658
Tell someone.

00:15:56.658 --> 00:15:57.265
Please.

00:15:57.265 --> 00:16:01.634
Text them a link, share the truth while there's still time.
